NEWPORT Ark. (KAIT) – Newport residents learned more about the science and how it relates to out-of-world experiences many people seem to have.
On Tuesday, the city of Newport hosted scientist Mark Wentz. The scientist was there to talk about physics and how it could relate to out-of-world experiences people have.
“This is very serious stuff, if you really do your research, especially look at the West Hall incident and the Aerial Phenomena incident and many others. You can’t laugh some of these things off,” Wentz said.
Wentz spoke in a room full of curious people. He said it’s important for scientists to pay more attention to out-of-this-world experiences people have. He said he didn’t take it too seriously until he had his own experience.
“It was like somebody had a giant Van de Graaff generator there and you’re feeling this vibes, giant electric field.”
A lot of these experiences are sounding more to the paranormal side than the extraterrestrial, but Wentz says they could be related.
“I’m not saying it correlates for all paranormal activities, obviously. But these two places regions, they correlate. I don’t know the connection,” he said.
Raymond Beckles, an attendee, said he came to have fun but learned people he knew might have those out-of-world experiences.
“I’ve heard bits and pieces of from other people. And it was interesting to see the similarities. You know, I’ve heard people talk about multiple dimensions and things like that. And just curious. I mean, I think there’s more to this world than we see.”
For Wentz, there’s a complicated science with experiences people have, but he wants those people to be taken more seriously.
“We need to listen to the experiencers, very seriously and take them at their word and see how it relates to trying out the mysteries in physics.”
Wentz said his next step would be to focus on research.
