DALLAS (KDAF) — Have you ever seen a UFO or unexplained phenomena you just couldn’t make sense of? Well, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) can help investigate.
Steve Cotton, volunteer with MUFON, shares more about what the network does and what might be out there.
“It’s the foremost organization in the country that collects incidents reports on a scientific basis and investigates those incidents,” Cotton said. “We have a group of field investigators that we train.”
MUFON, which was established in 1969, also publishes a monthly journal and takes a scientific and investigative approach to advocate for transparency in the field.
“It’s not a field of nutcases like it used to be anymore, like the government would like you to believe,” Cotton said. “We have fighter pilots, we have astronauts, we have physicists. We have all types of people who are professionals who have either witnessed UFOs and reported them, or general volunteers, like me.”
