Do you believe?
50 years ago, a nurse in a Duncan hospital claimed to have seen a large saucer-shaped craft with a glass-like dome top and many locals believed her.
She said the space-craft was around 50 feet in diameter with lights on the bottom and had two humanoid-like figures inside the glass dome.
According to her account, they appeared to be wearing dark robes and standing in front of what appeared to be a larger control panel.
She said while she was staring at the sight she herself could hardly believe, one of the humanoid beings slowly began to turn in her direction.
While this occurred she said that the other being grabbed hold of a lever and the craft began to turn away from her.
She then called out to another nurse, who saw the craft slowly and swiftly move away.
This being one of the most profound UFO sightings in Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint decided to make the moment immortal by creating a limited edition coin based on the incident.
The coin they made is part of a series of UFO sighting coins which are unlike any they’ve made before, being rectangular in shape and glow-in-the-dark.
“One of the most in-demand themes,” reads the Mint’s website.
“Collectors love a good UFO story, and all previous coins in the series sold out quickly.”
The coin costs $139.99 and comes in a protective black box to keep the collector’s item in pristine condition.
