The Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP) is connected to the rumored “Pentagon UFO Study” known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). That exact connection and relationship is still unknown, as there are varying explanations depending on the party involved.
This page aims to archive all documents on this program, as released by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). Some requests were filed about the overall program, while others were for specific documents as published in the Skinwalkers at the Pentagon book, which was authored by the director of the AAWSAP, Dr. James Lacatski, George Knapp and Dr. Colm Kelleher.
Note: This page currently has all known AAWSAP/AATIP documents released by DIA as of October 13, 2022. The Black Vault continues to try and confirm how much more, if any, will be released.

FOIA-00349-2018 [24 Pages, 1.5MB] – This request was filed by The Black Vault in May of 2018, and asked for all records pertaining to Contract HHM402-08-R-0211, the identifier for AAWSAP. The DIA gave this FOIA case FOIA-00349-2018, and released records on October 13, 2022. As noted in the letter, 13 pages were withheld in full.

Defense Intelligence Reference Documents (DIRDs)
According to Dr. Eric Davis, who was interviewed on the Coast to Coast AM radio show on January 28, 2018, he confirmed that while working for Bigelow Aerospace / BAASS, they created 38 of these “Defense Intelligence Reference Documents” or reports under AAWSAP. Also according to Dr. Davis, these papers that were submitted were about various topics, including (but not limited to) warp drives, propulsion systems, etc.
Within 48 hours of that interview, on January 31, 2018, The Black Vault had filed for ALL of those reports, as referenced by Dr. Davis. This was given FOIA case FOIA-0159-2018.
In January of 2019, The Black Vault received a listing breakdown of the reports (an slightly different version had already leaked) via FOIA request FOIA-0033-2019 with the DIA.
On March 25, 2022, the DIA finally completed FOIA request FOIA-0159-2018, and released 37 of the requested 38 DIRD reports. The Black Vault has appealed the one report seemingly ignored, which was the classified version of the “State of the Art and Evolution of High-Energy Laser Weapons” report, classified SECRET. This was not even referenced as being withheld in the release document, so the basis of the appeal is on the adequacy of their search.
Here is a listing of the 37 DIRD reports released. For another, more extensive breakdown, you can see the The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) DIRD Report Research page, as well.

Records Referenced in Skinwalkers at the Pentagon
A circa June 19, 2007, letter written by Dr. James Lacatski to Robert T. Bigelow, asking to visit a location in Utah to aide in research for the Defense Warning Office.
On page 38 of Dr. James Lacatski’s book Skinwalkers at the Pentagon, he wrote, “On June 19, 2007, [Lacatski] wrote that bombshell letter on official DIA letterhead to Robert T. Bigelow asking to visit his Utah ranch for the purposes of ‘… developing a strategy on how [Lacatski’s] office (DWO) can characterize the potential threat aspects of the phenomena encounters in [Bigelow’s] research efforts.”
FOIA Case FOIA-00023-2022 yielded a “no records” response for the above letter. The Black Vault filed appeal APP-00031-2022. A new search was conducted. No records were found.
