Years ago, a man spotted a freaky black ring over Disneyland, and in no time, it was believed to be a UFO that could open a portal to a different dimension.
The sighting captured by the guests at Disneyland was unlike any other, and the fact that it was real further intrigued conspiracy theorists until the exact nature of the mysterious ring was determined.
People thought the Black Ring over Disneyland was a UFO
On April 27, 2016, a video of a black smoke ring over the theme park surfaced online, and due to the lack of a better explanation for it, people automatically assumed it was a UFO.
A witness told Daily Mail at the time: “It was a windy night, couldn’t have been a smoke ring. Everyone watched it in fear/confusion. I half expected an alien portal to open up through this ring as we were gazing up in disbelief…The strangest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Ufologists doubled down on the theory, although, ring-shaped UFOs are said to be extremely rare. UFO blogger Scott C Waring said upon analyzing the video: “Ring UFOs are super rare, but they have been seen. This UFO is over Disneyland and causes the family to worry about an alien invasion.”
However, there was no other solid evidence that could validate the speculations about a UFO. Scott also suggested: “Since this is over a theme park, its possible that one of the rides may have caused it.”
Possible source of mysterious smoke in the sky
A year before the Disneyland occurrence, NBC offered a logical explanation for the smoke ring over Disneyland which was spotted several times before.
These smoke rings are reportedly caused by the use of pyrotechnics, which are often employed to create the magic at the theme park.
“Creating smoke vortices generally requires a blast through a circular structure — perhaps from a factory smokestack, or a homemade trash-can smoke ring launcher, or a hippie-dippie apparatus specially designed for the job,” the report explains.
