ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — The UFO Welcome Center in Bowman burned to the ground Thursday morning, the Times and Democrat (T&D) reported.
Video obtained from Anne-Marie Bowdoin and Mary Johnson shows the smoldering remains where the iconic building once stood.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene putting out hot spots around 9 a.m., according to the paper. The two-story building was built with lumber and wood screws and bolts.
About eight tons of plywoods and boards were used in constructing the building, according to T&D.
A cause of the fire was not immediately known.
