AN Air Force veteran has spoken out about multiple UFO sightings that happened at one military base.
Jeff Nuccetelli, a former senior patrolman, noted that police and airmen saw a strange object hovering over California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base in 2012.

“It was an enormous glowing ball of plasma,” he said on a recent episode of the Merged podcast while recalling a report about the incident from journalist Christopher Sharp.
“It was so big it looked like the moon,” the veteran added of the sighting that happened about 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
“You could see a center sphere with smaller ones whipping around it.”
The object hovered over the air base for about 30 minutes.
Witnesses reported the situation to their commanding officer, who Nuccetelli said decided not to file an official report.
“If I remember right, they did contact the Coast Guard,” he added.
“The Coast Guard came back and said it was fishing boats.”
A police officer who was looking at the object through night vision binoculars was confounded by this explanation, noting that the UFO was up in the sky.
The sighting came nearly a decade after a UFO incident at Vandenberg which Nuccetelli was directly involved in.
It was “basically just a big square object, the size of a football field, floating over the launchpad, red in color, glowing,” he said of the object that reportedly hovered over the base in 2003.
Nuccetelli didn’t see the UFO himself, but he heard about it firsthand via radio chatter and conducted an investigation after the fact.
His counterparts said the object longer than a football field hovered silently over the base.
“As far as I know, it wasn’t a cube,” the veteran said.
“It was like a flattened square.”
The sighting first made headlines in July, when another veteran named Ryan Graves spoke about the incident during his testimony at the congressional UFO hearings.
“This is not a joke,” Nuccetelli said.
“These are contractors with top-secret clearances,” he said of the witnesses.
“These guys are trained observers… They know what aircraft look like.”
Nuccetelli recalled hearing about the sighting as it began.
“All hell breaks loose and they start screaming over the radio,” he said.
“It’s coming right at us. It’s coming for us,” his fellow airmen said.
“Now it’s right here.”
The scene was chaotic.
“It was hard to hear because they were screaming and they were scared,” Nuccetelli said.
The Air Force sighting came after employees at the plane manufacturer Boeing saw a similar UFO earlier that day.
Nuccetelli said three Boeing employees signed sworn statements declaring they’d seen the craft.
He believes at least 80 people witnessed the UFO.
Nuccetelli is now in the process of gathering testimony from those who saw the object firsthand.
“My recollection of who was there, and all the particulars, and the details are flawed,” he said.
“I wasn’t there when these things happen. It’s all secondhand.”
